From the 1st April 2016
In running training courses and networking events VAAC try to keep the costs to a minimum. Any charges are based on the amount needed to cover the trainer and venue hire, (based on the number of places available) and we often run a waiting list of people who want to attend the event if a place becomes available.
If attendees book places and are unable to attend it is very important that they let us know so that we can release the place to someone else and cover the cost. In order to help with this we will be introducing the following terms & conditions in relation to our training & events from the 1st April 2016
Training courses (charged for)
Places on VAAC training courses will only be confirmed once we have received payment for the place (allocated on a first come first come served basis).
We will keep a reserve list once the course is full and if someone with a confirmed place cancels and we are able to fill the place we will refund the charge to the initial place holder. If we are not able to fill the place (particularly if late or no notice is given) the charge will not be refunded.
Networking / Community Events (free to attend)
VAAC needs prospective attendees to book onto networking/community events to ensure we do not exceed the capacity of the venue and that we have sufficient resources e.g. handouts etc. available on the day.
We keep a reserve list once the maximum number is reached and accommodate people from this list if places become available.
Attendees must book their place at these events using the requested system (usually via Eventbrite on the VAAC website), if attendees are then unable to attend they must de-register using the same system, this will then allow others to take their place.
If a registered attendee does not attend an event a charge of £10 will be made.
Attendance at future VAAC events will be dependent on this charge being paid.
