Bersted Green Learning Centre, situated on the Trees Estate, Bognor Regis is available to book by organisations who can offer community learning/training opportunities in the widest sense. The centre has been established to provide a place to meet and learn new skills and develop new interests.
Regular groups use the centre with activities ranging from Tai Chi, flower arranging, bingo, pantomime skills, tea and chat to a community choir.
Bersted Green Learning Centre is off the Chichester Road between Bognor and Chichester (A259).
Turn off the A259 onto Fairlands, which becomes Hazel Road. The Learning Centre is marked on the map with a Mortis Board!
Please note, parking is not available at the centre as the parking is reserved for residents only but there is ample on road parking in Hazel Road and Berghestede Road (opposite).
The centre has a confidential interview/counselling room, with a separate entrance to the main venue, a hall that will accommodate around 40 people and a fully equipped IT suite that has 8 computer terminals. The centre is accessible for disabled people and also has a kitchen suitable for light refreshments.
An excellent training venue, courses have taken place with first aid, CAB training, IT skills and essential training for small groups.
VAAC is managing the booking system and groups will have to register with us as Centre Users (contact details 01243 840305 or via Chris at firstname.lastname@example.org), they can then view availability via an on line diary and make bookings electronically or via hard copy. Details of the charges for use is shown below.
VAAC will be dealing with issues in relation to the day-to-day running of Bersted Green Learning Centre, to include oversight of the upkeep and cleanliness of the facility. From March 2016 Jim Heaton has been helping us keep the centre running smoothly.
