Selsey Volunteer Fair
People from in and around Selsey braved the rain on Sunday 3rd September to find out about local volunteering opportunities at an event organisation by VAAC. Organisations at the event reported that helpful contacts were made with several potential new volunteers, and the opportunity for networking with other groups at the event was also really valuable.
VAAC were lucky enough to be awarded funding from the Tesco Bags of Help funding initiative (in partnership with Groundwork) to put on the Volunteer Fair. 15 local organisations attended and thanks go to Carte Blanche Greetings Ltd, MPM2 Ltd, St Wilfrid’s Hospice, RSPB and Blind Veterans Uk for donation items for the Goodie Bags.

VAAC Networking – Volunteering:
VAAC holds 3 Volunteering Network events per year aimed at people who have responsibility for managing or co-ordinating volunteers across the Arun or Chichester District. These events are an opportunity to network, catch up with new developments, share your news and look at ways we can support each other through sharing best practice.
We have recently produced a set of Volunteering Factsheets to help with a range of different volunteering topics. Copies of the factsheets are available on request and attached is a list of the current topics.
