CLLD – Community Led Local Development

EAFRD – European Regional Development Fund

ERDF – European Regional Development Fund

ESF – European Social Fund

ESIF – European Structural Investment Funds – For the 2014 to 2020 funding period, the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), the European Social Fund (ESF) and part of the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD), will be brought together into an EU Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme. The top priorities of this Programme are innovation, support for SMEs, low carbon, skills, employment and social inclusion

ITT – Invitation to Tender

LEP – Local Enterprise Partnership in this area it is called Coast to Capital. Each LEP has been asked to set out how it intends to use the Growth Programme Funds in a European Union (EU) Structural and Investment Funds strategy. In developing its strategy, the LEP will work with and reflect the interests of a broad range of economic, social and environmental partners, including businesses, civil society, rural partners and further and higher education institutions

OCS – Office for Civil Society

Opt in Organisation – use to be known a co-finance and provider of match funding for some of the European Funds. Opt in Organisations include the Big Lottery, the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), and the Skills Funding Agency (SFA), Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) and Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA)

Project Call – A document describing the aims and priorities of a funding theme, inviting people to submit project proposals and giving guidance on the format and content for that submission (this may be in the form of a competitive tender or a grant application)

VCS – Voluntary and Community Sector
