During January-March 2016 you gave your views on the Healthy Child Programme Service Redesign. You told us what you think is working well at the moment and you also gave us ideas for how we might improve public health outcomes for children, young people and their families in the future. Thank you for your involvement.
We have great pleasure in attaching the summary report of our findings for the stakeholder engagement we carried out as part of the co-design process for the Healthy Child Programme. In addition to the summary we also have write-ups of each of the surveys and individual engagement events. Please let us know if you would like to see the information behind the summary report.
The report highlights what we were told through our consultation process and gives an indication of how we plan to act on this information in terms of the design for the West Sussex Healthy Child Programme (0-19).
From the work that you helped us with we developed the following vision:
“To co-design and co-produce an integrated, community driven, locality based model for the Healthy Child Programme 0-19/25 with a single set of shared outcomes, so that children, young people and their families are healthy, happy, safe and strong, ready for school and ready for life.”
Our next steps in the West Sussex Healthy Child Programme redesign are:
- Using what you told us to help us shape our service model for the future. We will complete this work by the end of May 2016.
- Supporting the Cabinet Member for Community Wellbeing with her decision as to how we should identify our future service provider(s) (May 2016).
- Identification of our service provider(s) and working with them to plan the new service (June 2016-March 2017).
- 1 April 2017 – New service model goes live.
The Children and Families Commissioning Team will continue to be in touch over the coming months and will let you have updates as they happen. In the meantime, if you do have any queries, please direct them to me (email) in the first instance and I will ensure these are passed to the appropriate member of the Team to respond to.
