Volunteer Support Officer
Full time 37 hours per week £22,281 to £24,712 per annum
Based: West Sussex
The Volunteer Support Officer role provides the day-to-day leadership and support to volunteers who are vital to the service delivery of Healthwatch. The role involves recruitment, training, managing and supporting a team of volunteers, whilst ensuring their activities are integrated into the Healthwatch service plan. This means leading communication with the volunteers and programming regular events and meetings. You must have practical knowledge and understanding of community involvement methods and excellent communication and IT skills. As well as have good facilitation and leadership skills.
The role is part of a team but largely involves lone working and you will be supported to enable working from home and in the community. The team meet once per week in Billingshurst, West Sussex.
Applicants will need a driving licence and use of their own vehicle with business use insurance. Travel expenses will be reimbursed.
The role requires a satisfactory DBS disclosure as the work can include working with vulnerable adults and young people.
