The West Sussex Health and Wellbeing Board will lead on improving the co-ordination of commissioning across the National Health Service (NHS), social care and public health services.
The Board brings together elected members, leaders from the NHS, social care and the voluntary sector to work together and support one another to improve the health and wellbeing of the local population and reduce health inequalities. The Board provides a forum for challenge, discussion and the involvement of local people. The Board also has responsibility for development of the Better Care Fund plan to support the transofrmation of the health and social care system in West Sussex to meet the combined challenges of the demands of a growing older population and reducing budgets for West Sussex.
