Arundel Wetland Centre (10.30am -12.30pm)Richard Harris, Volunteer Manager from Age UK West Sussex, Brighton & Hove, will lead this session on creating a valuable volunteer experience – for you and your volunteers. Things Richard will talk about will include: the volunteering process, from advertising to recruitment and beyond; how to have a successful volunteer induction process; training for the volunteers; and retaining your volunteers. There will also be time for a discussion to share your positive and negative experiences, and how we can learn from and build on this to give the best volunteer journey possible.

West Ashling and Funtington District Hall (11am - 1pm)Join us for a series of workshops to bring together Ukrainians and locals and create flowers which will be used for a decorative wreath. UK-based Ukrainian artist, Irma Latsanych, will lead the workshops, and then will assemble all the flowers into a wreath in which every flower will be made by a member of the local community. The wreath will represent friendship, support, and mutual respect. With the “Wreath of Friendship” project we offer an opportunity to enhance already existing connections and create new ones! We invite Ukrainians and members of the local community in general, and hosting families in particular, to book in, meet and engross themselves in art for 2 hours. There will be six dates and locations to choose from, so book onto which is most convenient for you.

How can you do great research about Trusts, Foundations and Grants before you make an application? Where do you look for information and vitally – what is that information telling you? We will explore a range of FREE and paid resources and how to make the most of them. You will also leave the session knowing how to use the Charity Commission website for your Trust fundraising research.
