Do you sail, windsurf, play football, know first aid or have other skills to pass on? Sea Cadet Instructors wanted

For Littlehampton Sea Cadets

Littlehampton Sea Cadets would like to hear from people who are interested in becoming Instructors. You could teach cadets how to sail, powerboat, kayak, windsurf, play football or learn first aid. Volunteers can give whatever time they have available and will receive an induction, training and support.

Lt (SCC) Brian Osborne RNR, Commanding Officer, said "Sea Cadets offers so many opportunities to both adults and young people. It is important to remember that we are an independent charity that relies on volunteers in the local community to help make a positive difference to the lives of so many children and teenagers."

We are also looking for a new committee member, so please let us know if you would be interested.

About Littlehampton Sea Cadets

The charity purpose of the Sea Cadet Corps (SCC) is to promote the development of young people in achieving their physical, intellectual and social potential as individuals and as responsible citizens by the provision of education and leisure time activities using a nautical theme.

We aim to achieve this by:
a. offering young people a structured environment in which to develop.
b. providing access for young people to education and training in a wide range of areas which may include but not exclusively: sailing (inshore and offshore), paddle sports, power boating, seamanship, navigation, marine engineering, cooking, music, first aid, drill, piping, public services.
c. providing opportunities for young people to obtain a range of qualifications some of which are nationally accredited and recognised.
d. promoting good citizenship through community involvement.
