Voluntary Action Arun & Chichester
The role includes chairing trustee/ executive meetings (approx 4 to 6 evening meetings per year) and the Group Annual General Meeting. It will also be essential to work closely with and support the Group Scout Leader and be a full and active member of the executive committee. This is a trustee role and so you must be eligible to be a charity trustee and aged over 18 years.
We would like to hear from people with a business or management background who would like to use their skills to ultimately help young people from all backgrounds achieve their full potential. You'll have experience in chairing meetings and know how to get the best from a team of people. You'll be able to undertake administration from home and have basic computer skills.
West Sussex Scouts offers fun, challenge and adventure to over 9700 young people aged 6 to 25 across more than 100 locations in West Sussex. Scouting exists to actively engage and support young people, aged 6-25 years old, in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society. With over 500,000 members in the UK, Scouting is the largest mixed youth organisation in the country. You'll need to be available for 4 to 6 evening meetings per year and able to undertake other tasks at a time to suit you.
