Non-Uniformed Volunteer – Home based
For NSTC Lion (National Seamanship Training Centre)

There are a number of
non-uniformed volunteer roles within the NTC, both unit based and not unit
based.
Our non-unformed volunteer
roles working from ‘home’ would be working either with a region, with the
organisation as a whole or a mixture of both. You could be assisting us within
one of our below teams;
- Community Fundraising: Planning and holding fundraising stands and stalls at local and Corps wide
events within your local area and community for the NTC.
- Grant Fundraising:
Researching, planning and applying for business, council and trust grant and
trust funding providers. Ensuring the applications are the best they can be and
that the time and work put into them is worthwhile and appropriate to the work the
funders fund.
- Administration: Assisting
with the administration of the organisation.
- Activity Instructor: You
may, already be experienced and qualified in a certain sporting activity, you
may be able to assist with our activity weekends or training centres to support
and enhance the work we do with the young people.
- Specialist: You may be
qualified or experienced in a certain subject or area, this may be in things
such as child protection and safeguarding, accounting/treasurer or you could be
a trainer in a certain subject.
- Marketing / Social Media:
You may be a marketing or social media whiz and able to spare some time to help
us with the running of our social media pages, website and printed marketing.

- 18+
- Disclosure Barring Services Check
- No experience required unless applying for an Activity Instructor or Specialist role.
About NSTC Lion (National Seamanship Training Centre)
The Nautical Training Corps (NTC) is a National Maritime Training and Uniformed Youth Organisation based in the south of England. Cadets follow similar rates and ranks, traditions, values and ethos as the British Royal Fleet Auxiliary (RFA) and the Merchant Navy.
We Have units in Bognor Regis, Chichester and Littlehampton that are looking for adult volunteers. I am based in Portsmouth but travel to these areas.
