Events & Training

Free Networking Events & Subsidised Training

We hold regular networking events for our members and run training sessions that are relevant to your needs

VAAC hold eight networking events each year. Each event provides good opportunities to meet and talk to other organisations but also has a section devoted to sharing information or training. We have decided to theme four of these events around volunteering.

If you are responsible for raising funds for your organisation then come and join us at a monthly fundraising network with likeminded individuals, and share best practice, learn new skills and get 1:1 support.

If there is a topic that is of interest to you and your organisation, please let us know to enable us to make enquiries and help facilitate an event for you.

VAAC networking events are free for all.
Training free to members. £25 non members, partners (including statutory) and out of area organisations, unless otherwise stated.

All attendees will be required to complete an evaluation form. Feedback about our training enables us to prove to funders that we are meeting the needs of organisations.

Do you need bespoke training for outside facilitation for your organisation?

We understand that there may be times where you want training or a session that is specifically tailored to your organisation. VAAC offers to all organisations bespoke training for staff.

This may include topics such as:

  • Volunteer Management
  • Demonstrating your Impact
  • Creating a Fundraising Strategy
  • Developing a Business Plan
  • Developing a Skilled Trustee/Membership Committee Board

We also facilitate staff/trustee day-aways.

We are happy to discuss with you your needs. Our charges are very reasonably priced for the voluntary sector.
