VAAC puts together a training schedule based on the needs of your organisation.

If you have any areas that you would like included in future training please let us know. We try to keep the costs for the training at a minimum to make it accessible to all.

Our training is free to members. £25 to non members, partners (including statutory) and out of area organisations, unless otherwise stated.

All attendees will be required to complete an evaluation form. Feedback about our training enables us to prove to funders that we are meeting the needs of organisations.

Trustee Training

Arundel Town Council (5pm - 8pm)

This event is for both new and existing Trustees. 5.30 arrival and networking for a 6.00 start. Session one - Andy Strajnic AFVS- how to run effective board meetings and how relevant are your board's skills. Session two - trustee activity, skills audit. Session three - Kreston Reeves, charity update. Followed by questions and answers, refreshments and nibbles with a further opportunity to network.

Is your organisation cyber secure and what do we mean by that?

Chichester District Council (9.30am - 11.30pm)

Cyber security is the protection of computer systems from the theft of or damage to their hardware, software or electronic data, as well as from the disruption or misdirection of the services they provide. In this free 2 hour session you will learn about the following; What is cyber Security? What are the threats to charities and small community organisations? Come along to our training and find practical ways to defend your organisation.

Emergency First Aid at Work

Bersted Green Learning Centre (9.30am - 4.30pm)

Suitable for smaller workplaces with low health and safety risks or for those nominated to provide support for qualified first aiders. Course content - communications and delegations in an emergency. Recognition and treatment of the most common injuries or medical emergencies that might be experienced in the workplace
