We are looking for volunteer drivers who will collect people from their homes to go on outings with other passengers for lunches, teas, shopping, tours, gardens, boat trips and theatre trips, etc.
A clean driving license with category D1 (essential). Also be a careful driver and with competent driving skills for a 13 seater minibus.
Contact 88 is a transport service for elderly and disabled people living in Chichester and the surrounding area. Founded in 1988, we are a registered charity run by volunteers.
We provide a varied programme of outings (pub lunches, visits to places of interest and shopping trips) throughout the year. The social "door-to-door" service and social contact are very important to elderly and disabled people. Many of the passengers would otherwise be housebound and some have been coming out with us regularly for many years.
