For Guide Dogs

Do you love dogs and want to make a difference to people’s lives by volunteering? Join a Guide Dogs pack near you for fun, fundraising and four-legged friends.

As a fundraising volunteer for Guide Dogs, you’ll be part of a team in your local area that shares stories about what we do and raises vital funds to help people with sight loss live the life they choose – you’ll get to hear inspiring stories, meet incredible people and dogs, and see the difference you’re making firsthand.

In this role, you will place our iconic boxes locally and every few months empty, count and bank the funds for Guide Dogs.

What you'll be doing:

  • Identifying and placing collection boxes in suitable locations, moving them when needed and keeping track of where your boxes are located.
  • Emptying boxes every 3 to 6 months and banking the income.
  • Talking to people about how the boxes support Guide Dogs.
  • Thanking venues for agreeing to have boxes placed and for the donations received as a result.

Skills

Ideally you will:

  • Be willing to talk to people about Guide Dogs.
  • Have good communication and organisational skills.
  • Be able to work in a team when working with a local fundraising group or others.
