Community Link Volunteers play a crucial role in building community links and raising
awareness of the services that are available.
Working with the West Sussex team, you will be:
- Creating and strengthening relationships with communities and individuals.
- Taking part in events and talking to groups to raise awareness of dementia and the support services available.
- Helping to identify people affected by dementia who can share their dementia story with their wider community and Alzheimer's Society.
- Signposting people to access services that are provided by Alzheimer's Society locally and nationally.
Skills
This role will suit you if you:
- Have a confident and friendly approach and are committed to including people from all backgrounds treating them with dignity and as individuals.
- Have a good knowledge and understanding of your local community.
- Have excellent communication skills and be able to talk to a variety of audiences (the ability to communicate in languages other than English or BSL is not essential but may be helpful).

Availability
You will be asked to volunteer on an average of 2-4 hours a month to fit in with your availability, full training is given and there is on going support
