Dementia Awareness Raising Volunteer for your community

For Alzheimer's Society

As an Awareness Raising Volunteer, you’ll be enabling the West Sussex team to reach people and groups within your community, to help us to raise awareness of dementia and make sure your community is aware of the support and advice services which Alzheimer’s Society locally and nationally.

You will be:

Representing Alzheimer’s Society at events and holding information stands in your community
Speaking with members of the public about the critical work of the Society and the support available locally and nationally
Displaying information in accessible and visible locations in your community, ensuring it remains accurate and up to date.
Establishing connections with local organisations and community groups.

Skills

This role will suit you if you:

Are passionate about raising awareness of dementia in your local area.
Have great communication and interpersonal skills and can build relationships in your community.
Can volunteer both independently and within a local team.
Can travel to a variety of venues or events, bringing with you the relevant materials.
Are able to volunteer in a flexible way to suit your availability and the requirements of your local area.
