
Could you help respond to emergencies in your local area? Volunteers provide emotional and practical support for people who are affected by a serious incident or an emergency such fire or flood.
What would I be doing?
You will be helping people prepare for, respond to and recover from emergencies. Every individual affected by an emergency will need different support from us to help them recover, below are some examples of what you might support with:
To apply for this role you must hold a full UK driving licence, have access to a vehicle and be willing to drive the British Red Cross Vehicle. You need to be able to reach Bognor Fire Station (PO21 5TB) within 30 minutes.
Flexible attitude and a willingness to respond if on call, including unsocial hours are important.
The British Red Cross helps people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are. We are part of a global network of volunteers, responding to natural disasters, conflicts and individual emergencies. We enable vulnerable people at home and overseas to prepare for and respond to emergencies in their own communities. And when the crisis is over, we help people to recover and move on with their lives.

Volunteers should. be able to commit to a minimum of 2 x12-hour on call shifts per month and attend a monthly Team Meeting
