We are looking for a responsible volunteer for our shop.

The duties would include:

• Answering the phone if Manager or Assistant is busy with a customer
• Using the cash till and the debit card machine
• Hiring scooters and wheelchairs to customers
• Completing membership/VAT forms with new customers who buy disability aids and hirers of wheelchairs/scooters
• Selling disability aids
• Keeping the shop clean and tidy
• Some photocopying of forms etc
• Help decorate the shop for events
• Attend fundraising events and help give out information – helping to set up would be muchly appreciated
• Making tea & coffee

Skills

Would need to be friendly, reliable and welcoming when meeting and greeting customers, helpful and kind, as most of our customers are elderly, disabled and vulnerable health.

A punctual and responsible person.

Littlehampton Shopmobility exists to ensure that people with mobility problems will enjoy their shopping experience and help to maintain their independent lives.

Hire and sale of wheelchairs and scooters and the sale of items to improve the quality of life of those with disability. We do some fundraising to help raise our profile, and raise funds!

Availability

Our shop is 10am-3pm so if you can offer a day a week for those hours, or even 10am-2pm, you are welcomed to join our team!
