Register your Interest

Our Trustee Board plays a vital role in making sure Relate West Sussex achieves its core purpose. The Board also ensures effective management of the charity, determining it has a clear strategy and that our work and goals are in line with our vision.

Our service has been refreshed and rebranded, and we have been working on a new three-year plan to ensure that our service is relevant, accessible and sustainable. Our Trustee Board comprises individuals from various professions who want to help promote and develop our Centre. All trustees have joint governing responsibilities with other trustees of Relate West Sussex.

What we are looking for

We are looking for people from all social and cultural backgrounds, who may be able to offer their time and skills. Specific skills in mental health, fundraising, project management, communications and social media as well as business experience, can be useful, but are not essential. Trustees would normally be expected to attend bi-monthly board meetings and any other relevant events which may be of interest. We are looking for a dynamic person who has a heart and an interest for the work that we do here at Relate West Sussex.

A full induction will be provided.

Skills

  • Ability to think creatively and strategically.
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills.
  • Enthusiasm for our vision and mission.
  • Commitment to Nolan’s seven principles of public life: selflessness, integrity, objectivity, accountability, openness, honesty and leadership.
