We are in need of female volunteer befrienders to help support the work of our Outreach Staff and to help to combat social isolation among the women we support.

If you have regular time to commit and your own transport, please get in touch.

You will be part of a passionate team working together to support women in accordance with their individual needs. This could be going for a coffee, providing transport for a weekly food shop, support with job hunting or other admin.

Skills

If you are kind, caring, resilient and have good listening skills, we would love to hear from you.

We provide in-house training and you will be well supported to make a big difference in women's lives.

Due to the nature of our work, our volunteer positions are open to WOMEN ONLY.

It is essential that you have an ability:

  • To be non-judgmental and not pursue personal agenda
  • To respond quickly to emergency or pressurised situations
  • To understand the importance of confidentiality
  • To understand and explore the complexities of the sex industry
  • To work well in a team

  • To communicate in fluent English (written and spoken)

Experience of working with women at risk and/or a relevant experience is desirable. We welcome those with a second language, in particular Chinese, Portuguese or Thai.
