We have a vacancy for a workshop volunteer Wednesday mornings from 10am to 1pm.
Some customers want a PIT STOP Valeting service on their own scooters, so if the volunteer knows how to use a Multi-meter or is willing to learn it is very simple to use to check scooter batteries/chargers
Also to sort out brake issues on wheelchairs and walkers and other simple DIY jobs
Onsite training available
If the volunteer has electrical skills that would be an added bonus.
As above - if the workshop volunteer can sort out basic issues on scooters, wheelchairs and walkers and is happy to sweep the workshop after their use and basic cleaning of floors and windows.
Littlehampton Shopmobility exists to ensure that people with mobility problems will enjoy their shopping experience and help to maintain their independent lives.
Hire and sale of wheelchairs and scooters and the sale of items to improve the quality of life of those with disability. We do some fundraising to help raise our profile, and raise funds!
