Volunteer Mentors

For Big Brothers Big Sisters West Sussex

Register your Interest

Are you a caring adult with a few hours to spare? BBBS is a relatively new charity in the UK (although well established in the USA), and we are looking for caring adult Mentors for children, who, for whatever reason, are unable to live with their birth parents.

As a Mentor, you would spend a few hours a month, over a period of a year or more, with a child that is suitably matched. You will spend time together doing simple things, such as riding a bike or picking up conkers.

This type of Mentoring programme has been shown to increase wellbeing, confidence and outcomes for the child.

Welcome Pack available on request, which gives full details of this wonderful programme.

Skills

You need to have patience and kindness, and a willingness to walk alongside a young person.

We welcome adult Mentors of all ages and from all walks of life, and we provide full training and support throughout your journey together.

About Big Brothers Big Sisters West Sussex
