The Chichester Personal Bests is a fantastic sports day for people with learning disabilities – and we need brilliant volunteers to help make it happen!
Participants get to try a range of exciting sports, boosting confidence, making friends, and celebrating every achievement along the way. It’s all about joining in, giving it a go, and having a great time.
The event helps build lasting connections with different sports and their coaches, encouraging people with learning disabilities to engage in regular physical activity.
We know how important being active is to building confidence and having a happy, healthy life.
Get involved – make a difference and be part of something amazing!
You’ll be supporting qualified coaches, encouraging participants, and helping create a fun, inclusive atmosphere.
No experience needed – just energy, enthusiasm, and a big smile!
Being a Personal Bests volunteer is all about bringing positive energy and team spirit. At the same time balancing your understanding that some people with autism and learning disabilities prefer a quiet and calm approach.
You’ll use your communication skills, show compassion and care, and help create a friendly, inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome.
It’s about being flexible, respecting participant boundaries and encouraging others to “have a go.”
Whether you’re cheering someone on or adapting to help out where needed, you’ll be making a real difference – with heart, teamwork, and joy.
Active LD helps people with learning disabilities to take up regular physical activity, unlocking their personal potential to build confidence and promote positive well-being for a healthy, happy life.
