As Fundraising Coordinator you would work within the SSAFA Sussex branch to develop a coordinated fundraising plan for our West and East Sussex Divisional offices. You would be central to delivering this local plan to raise funds through a range of local sources including grants, trusts, appeals, collections and events.
SSAFA branches rely on regular charitable income to fund all the necessities behind the support for our clients. This includes volunteer's travel expenses, phone bills, publicity and grants for clients with urgent needs. A varied programme of fundraising also keeps the SSAFA profile high in the local community.
You don't need a military background, just the ability to get on with all kinds of people, some basic IT skills and good written and spoken English. If you already have some fundraising experience that would be great too but it's not essential.
SSAFA, the Armed Forces Charity, supports the person behind the uniform, those currently serving, veterans and their families. When anyone in our Forces family finds themselves in need, SSAFA is the charity they can turn to - from the youngest recruit to the oldest veteran - no one's service is ever forgotten. We give hope, help and personal support for as long as it takes to get that person's life back to where they want it to be.

This role would suit you if you are looking to give a regular time commitment to SSAFA, although when and where would be flexible to suit you. All of SSAFA Sussex's volunteers work from home. You would also be out and about at events and meetings.
