We are looking for trustees for a new local group which is formalising. We are planning to undertake community growing in one or more sites in the Chichester and Arun Districts area, including Midhurst, and need to form a formal body for this.
We have people interested in growing, organisations who would like to work with us and access to growing spaces.
Community growing will help to provide free fresh fruit and vegetables for the community, as well as helping people learn new skills, meet new people, enjoy gentle exercise and have social opportunities around food.
General management, financial management, risk assessment, networking, record keeping - one or more of the above per person.
Arun & Chichester Food Partnership brings together local government, charities, community groups and businesses working to make good food accessible to all. Our vision is for a place where everyone has access to enough good food now and in the future - food that is good for the person, the community, the planet and the local economy. ACFP is the lead partner for our regional local food action plan. Through local networks and projects, we endeavour to improve how the local food system works for people through better health and food security, improved food and growing-related skills, careers and environment. We are currently running a project setting up, coordinating and promoting community growing spaces.
