As our UK focused Social Media volunteer, you will have a unique opportunity to make a difference.
What will you be doing?
- Design and share compelling content across our social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn) that highlights our work.
- Help us gain new followers by making post on Facebook or other social media sites community pages
- Stay up to date with UK based challenge and dance events news and trends to ensure our content is relevant and engaging.
- Collaborate with our team to brainstorm innovative social media strategies and campaigns.
- Represent Act4Africa’s mission with enthusiasm and authenticity.
What difference will you make?
You will help Act4Africa gain more exposure, as well as improve our social media channels; even though we are small charity we have a very loyal donor base, however one of our greatest challenges recently is to attract new supporters. We hope that by joining Act4Africa as our UK focused Social Media volunteer, you will assist us with enhancing our teams skills, helping us with our existing supporters journey as well as help us reach new audiences.
Skills
What are we looking for; key skills requirements:
- Excellent copy writing skills with strong attention to detail.
- Creative and innovative thinker, with a knack for storytelling.
- Ability to use a range of digital design tools including Canva, to communicate through a range of mediums from reels to infographics to static posts.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.

Act4Africa Uganda is an award-winning NGO, working with long-standing partners and registered charity Act4Africa UK. We aim to reduce poverty and transform communities through our health, education, agriculture and livelihood programmes. Reducing gender inequality is central to our work. In our experience, it provides the most fundamental obstacle to eradicating poverty.
