
An exciting and fantastic opportunity has arisen within our Garden Team for a Volunteer Groundskeeper - Gardener to assist in the care, maintenance, enhancement and development of a beautiful and diverse garden here at Petworth House.
Focusing on the more slightly physical side of gardening to assist us in delivering horticultural excellence and great visitor experiences.
We have traditionally four annual social events for the Gardens & Outdoors Volunteering Team being: Spring Tea Party, Summer BBQ, Autumn Curry, Christmas Party besides the several ongoing social events and trips planned by the events team for all Volunteers
Please note: At this stage we are looking for an expression of interest in this role and would aim to commence volunteering on a mutually agreed date
A ‘house of art’ overflowing with paintings and sculpture, a glimpse of domestic life in the historic Servants’ Quarters and Pleasure Grounds full of wildflowers and parkland where deer roam wild; with room to breathe and views to inspire the soul there is no better place for you to volunteer your time.

We offer flexible working days to suit individuals outside personal commitments Working 1 full day per week either (Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday) and live within 20 miles of Petworth Volunteers start at 10.30am till 16.00pm, lunch break at 12.30pm
