People come in to our Ward for a variety of reasons. We can help with difficulties such as pain, nausea or breathlessness that may be harder to deal with at home. We can help bring these symptoms back under control so that patients can return home to familiar surroundings and spend precious time with their loved ones.

People also come as their illness advances, often choosing to be with us in their final days.

We would like more volunteers to help support our wonderful nursing team on the ward by welcoming visitors with a friendly smile, taking care of all the little details to ensure the hospice feels homely, chatting to patients and relatives, make drinks, serve lunches and keep our ward kitchen clean and tidy.
