We are looking for delivery volunteers to help ensure emergency food reaches people living in rural areas who are unable to access a foodbank centre.

In the Petworth area, support is provided entirely through home deliveries, making this role essential to helping local people in crisis.

Deliveries may involve a single local drop-off or a small number of deliveries across the villages we cover.

Skills

Friendly and able to lift boxes.

About Chichester District Foodbank

“The foodbank was there when we really needed it, it was an absolute lifeline.”

We don’t think anyone in our community should have to face going hungry. That’s why we provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and other essentials to local people who are referred to us in crisis.

Our volunteers signpost people to agencies who can help provide support with a wide range of issues, including housing, debt management, childcare and mental wellbeing.

We are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by Trussell, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.
