We are looking for a volunteer who will

• play an important role in coordinating signposting activities at the food bank as well as other signposting volunteers;
• take time to listen to people in crisis, understanding what’s driving their poverty and identifying agencies they can be referred to for specific help.

You’ll enjoy being alongside an enthusiastic team of volunteers.

Using your empathy, confidentiality and motivation to support others you will truly make a difference and help to change lives.

About Chichester District Foodbank

“The foodbank was there when we really needed it, it was an absolute lifeline.”

We don’t think anyone in our community should have to face going hungry. That’s why we provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and other essentials to local people who are referred to us in crisis.

Our volunteers signpost people to agencies who can help provide support with a wide range of issues, including housing, debt management, childcare and mental wellbeing.

We are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by Trussell, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.
