Patient Viewpoint Volunteer Facilitators (PVP)

Help ensure patient voice leads to real change on the hospital wards and beyond we are recruiting Patient Viewpoint Volunteers to work at an inpatient ward.

You will speak with patients about their experiences, listen to what matters to them, and capture feedback in a clear and structured way.

This role is part of a wider feedback system.

What you gather will:

  • Feed into Trust quality and feedback frameworks
  • Be shared with ward teams and service leads
  • Inform CAPITAL’s independent lived experience insight work
  • Link directly with Lived Experience Recovery Workers on the wards to support ongoing improvement

Important:  You will not provide advice or support to patients.  An Enhanced DBS check will be required 

Skills

  • Lived experience of mental health challenges
  • Ability to listen without judgement
  • Confidence to engage people
  • Understanding of boundaries and confidentiality

About CAPITAL

We are a member-led charity organisation, pressing for change and utilising our lived experience.

CAPITAL brings the community together; services, workers, and people who have experienced mental health challenges in order to improve services, provide training opportunities and connections from a lived experience perspective.

We are a dedicated Mental Health Lived Experience Network
We sit independently of support services and networks, collaborating to improve mental health experiences.

We co-produce with our local partners and organisations (including the NHS and Council driven services) to provide lived experience insight and recommendations.

We represent those of all backgrounds and experiences, and champion those with reduced access and opportunities and support networks.
