Male Volunteers for Telephone Befriending Service - Check in and Chat

For Carers Support West Sussex

Register your Interest

The check in and chat volunteer will provide a carer with an opportunity of a regular social conversation to help reduce feelings of being alone and to open the discussion with the carer about the services available to them in their community and where appropriate online. You will be matched with a carer who is socially isolated and would benefit from a regular check in and chat call.

Social connections and community involvement are vital for a person’s wellbeing, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation. By discussing hobbies and interests, you’ll help carers reconnect with what makes them happy. The value of your calls cannot be underestimated - they can have a significant impact on a carer’s wellbeing.
