We want to tell lots of people about Chichester Canal - in many different ways... Can you help us?

The Chichester Ship Canal Trust is a wholly volunteer led organisation with over 180 volunteers who carry out all tasks associated with the Canal's activities, including maintaining the canal and its banks, crewing and hosting our daily boat trips on our two passenger boats, working in our very popular café, gardening, boat maintenance and administration.

We're looking for someone - or more than one person - to work primarily with our Marketing Team to help us with internal and external communications, our website, and to support our social media activities.

The role is voluntary, working on a part-time/flexible basis, and can involve working weekdays and/or weekends to support Canal events and daily activities.

Skills

We're looking for self-starters/self-motivated people with a mix of skills.

These include an ability to communicate well in writing and verbally, being well-organised, and a willingness to be innovative and proactive when using internal and external publicity channels.

Volunteers also need knowledge of IT software including MS Office and publishing products.

About Chichester Ship Canal Trust

The Chichester Ship Canal Trust offers daily scheduled boat trips from February till October as well as popular charter trips and activities to get you closer to the water and to nature. Relax in our popular waterside Cafe and discover our industrial heritage. We offer rowing boat hire, canoe and SUP licences, fishing and walking. From the city centre, 4 miles of towpath leads to the Harbour. Run by volunteers, accessible for all.
