We are looking for friendly and approachable people from our local community to help promote a fundraising event.

Our Open Air Cinema is a fantastic opportunity to raise funds for our mission of preventing homelessness and restoring lives, and you can play an important part by helping to deliver flyers across Chichester and/or Bognor Regis.

We understand that volunteering fits around other commitments, so we'll work with you to be flexible around when you're able to give your time.

What you’ll be doing

• Delivering Open Air Cinema flyers to local businesses, community venues, noticeboards, cafés, shops and public spaces.
• Covering areas across Chichester, Bognor Regis and surrounding locations.
• Helping raise awareness of Stonepillow’s Open Air Cinema event within the local community.
• Keeping a simple record of where you have distributed flyers to avoid duplication and maximise coverage. (Template record available if needed)
• Be in direct contact with Flo, our event organiser

Skills

What we’re looking for:

• Friendly, reliable and proactive individuals.
• Good local knowledge of Chichester, Bognor or surrounding areas is helpful but not essential.
• Comfortable approaching local venues and community spaces.
• Able to volunteer independently and communicate updates clearly.

About Stonepillow

Stonepillow provide vital support for homeless and vulnerable people in West Sussex.

Founded in 1989, we are a charity that provides a lifeline for homeless people in Chichester, Bognor Regis and Littlehampton. We work with over 130 people every single day, empowering them to rebuild their lives and find independent accommodation they can call home.

We provide a range of services including day centres, hostels, a recovery service, and supported housing. We also have two charity shops which give people the opportunity to learn new skills and access education, training and employment. We are here for people who are sleeping rough or homeless and want to turn their lives around. The support we offer is tailored to the individual’s needs.

Availability

We are flexible, this would need to be during the day and local business hours. The flyering will run from the 1st June - 13th July, so any time during that period that would suit you.
