We are looking for friendly, reliable people to help us with this important fundraising and community liaison role.

You will be the face of the Fundraising team in your locality, representing the hospices when collecting.

We have collection tins hosted by a wide variety of businesses. Our tins continue to play an important role in raising money and awareness for the hospices so that we can continue to provide specialist care. These tins need to be collected, replaced, and returned to our fundraising offices or shops on a regular basis. With collections expected to be completed on a 6-8 week cycle.

This is a chance to involve yourself with the community by building a relationship with our collection tin hosts and keeping them up to date with any news from us.

This is the perfect opportunity for anyone looking for a flexible volunteering role to fit around other commitments. We can discuss potential rounds based on where you live and an appropriate distance to travel.

  • Excellent people skills and the ability to build relationships
  • Confident in talking to a variety of different people
  • An awareness of the potential emotional connection between a collection tin host and the hospice
  • Ability to drive and access to your own vehicle

About Southern Hospice Group

Southern Hospice Group was formed in 2024 when three local hospices merged - Martlets, St Barnabas House and Chestnut Tree House. Together, we support children, young people and adults who have life-limiting conditions which will significantly shorten their lives. We help those we care for, and their loved ones, to make the most of the precious time they have left together. Our expert palliative services support local communities across Sussex and South East Hampshire – at our hospice sites and in people’s homes.
