Turning Tides is a local charity providing help and support to the local homeless community. Since its establishment in 1991, Turning Tides has grown to cover a wide area, including Worthing, Littlehampton, Horsham and Mid-Sussex. Each year, Turning Tides supports around 1800 clients with the help of over 250 volunteers.
Help is available to anyone over the age of 18 in the local area who is homeless or insecurely housed. This help can take the form of housing, advice, counselling and emotional support and social engagement.
Our Littlehampton Community Hub provides a vital service to those that are homeless, vulnerably housed and on a low income in the Litttlehampton area.We provide a number of services that work with some of the most entrenched and vulnerable people in the local area, including a Breakfast Club, Women's Group, drop in service and support from specialist members of staff. This support includes budgeting, CV writing, housing advice and emotional support in areas such as mental health and substance misuse.
Our mission is to end local homelessness – putting clients and our community at the heart of our mission. We provide a range of high and low support housing and are in the process of registering as a housing association.
